Paper can be kept in perfect performance-shape by following a few simple steps.
It's best kept in climate controlled environments and needs time to 'season' to that environment prior to printing. This is especially important in cold weather. It's best not stored in direct sunlight or in doorways. It should be stored flat, never on end. Keep your wrapping labels with the mill identifiers until your job is complete. Fan papers before they are loaded into copiers or other office equipment. Reseal ream wrappers or cartons if only partial amounts are used, in order to keep out dust or humidity. If you are printing coated papers, remember to 'flip 50' - turn the first 50 sheets to the opposite side to check the performance of the back side of the sheet, prior to printing the entire job. If you do run in to performance issues, call your paper merchant as soon as possible for advice on how to proceed. If you are unsure of the suitability of a paper for your specific job need, most mills will provide sample sheets for testing.
B.W. Wilson Paper offers almost every conceivable format in envelopes, in standard to custom.
